This month, you will have noticed the free backing papers that you can download with each purchase. To get you started here are a few great ideas for using these papers.
This month's selection is entitled, Blue Haze, and features pretty backing papers all with a blue theme running through them.
Choice of free backing papers available
So, here is some inspiration to start you off using your gorgeous backing papers:
- Try printing off the papers onto various and assorted papers. For example, Card/Paper, Acetate, Vellum and anything else you can think of or have to hand.
- If you use textured paper or card, you will have a distressed finish, which is great for vintage projects.
- Print off double sided and use to make cards that have a complimentary printed inside.
- Try ripping and tearing instead of using a paper trimmer or scissors, this will give you a different textured finish to your project. To achieve more depth, colour the torn edge using an inkpad or chalks.
- How about using them for iris folding? With a paper trimmer, cut to a width of 2cm to make iris folding strips.
These papers are ideal for both scrapbooking and card making, but also ideal for making exploding boxes, gift bags and other paper gifts. Have a go and don't forget to send us some pictures of your finished product for our gallery section that we're building.
